Gulf Shores AL

With 6500 acres of wonderfulness, it’s easy to see why people choose to spend the winter at Gulf State Park. It has it all – 2 1/2 miles of white sand beaches, miles of biking/hiking trails (25 to be exact), Alabama’s largest fishing pier, and everything from Segway tours to a championship golf course. We spent most of the time on the bike trails, but put this on our list of places to come back to for at least a week, and maybe more.

Couldn’t pass up a meal at Lambert’s Cafe, home of the famous “throwed rolls!”

Missed the 1st toss from across the room, but made the catch on the 2nd try
